The 14th Party Central Committee of Vietnam convened its third meeting in Hà Nội, guided by the leadership of Party General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm. This five-day session is dedicated to key agendas such as enacting the resolutions from the 14th National Party Congress, enhancing Party governance, reforming the political system, and propelling national development forward.
A total of 13 significant policy areas are under review by the committee. These include enhancements in State governance, reforms in land laws, economic restructuring, technology-driven growth initiatives, environmental conservation, and national security measures. The discussions are also set to evaluate the performance of Vietnam’s new political system, examine the two-tier local administration model, and consider proposals for establishing Quảng Ninh and Bắc Ninh as cities directly governed by the central government.
In his address, Tô Lâm emphasized the need for practical and action-oriented decisions that can effectively dismantle development barriers, mobilize national resources, and elevate public service quality. He stressed the importance of translating all resolutions into concrete implementation plans that have defined responsibilities, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
