Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has commended the robust partnership between Vietnam and Laos in areas of inspection, auditing, and anti-corruption. This commendation came during his meeting with senior Lao official Vanhxay Phongsavanh in Hanoi, highlighting the ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration as both nations aim to achieve their new developmental objectives.
In their discussions, the two leaders focused on the imperative of bolstering national governance and strict adherence to discipline, while also emphasizing the importance of increased transparency and the fight against corruption and waste. Prime Minister Hưng underscored the necessity for both countries to share experiences, enhance personnel training, and cooperate in addressing public grievances. Furthermore, they examined ways to enhance institutional frameworks and upgrade inspection and supervision systems.
The dialogue also covered strategies to improve joint efforts in identifying and addressing issues with cross-border implications. Both Vietnam and Laos expressed their intention to expand the use of information technology and digital transformation within their inspection and auditing processes, aiming to make these systems more effective and efficient.
Additionally, the two sides reaffirmed their dedication to adhering to existing cooperation agreements, while also seeking to further solidify the longstanding relationship between the two neighboring countries.
