Must read

Starting July 1, 2026, anime enthusiasts and tourists traveling from Kyoto will have a more streamlined journey to the “NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” attraction on Awaji Island, thanks to the introduction of a new direct bus ticket package. This package combines a round-trip highway bus service from Kyoto Station to Awaji I.C. with admission to the popular anime-themed park, simplifying what is designed to be an effortless day trip for both local and international visitors.

The bus journey, which takes about 90 minutes, offers travelers a scenic experience, featuring picturesque views of bridges and the sea before reaching the anime attraction. Once there, visitors can immerse themselves in two key features of the park: the “Heaven’s Scroll (Ten no Maki)” three-dimensional maze and the “Earth Scroll (Chi no Maki)” mission rally. This new service will operate on weekdays only, excluding major holiday periods, with adult tickets priced at 8,200 yen and children’s tickets at 4,250 yen, both inclusive of taxes. Tickets will be available for purchase online, with a ticket exchange required at the Kyoto Bus Ticket Center.

“NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” offers a rich experience for fans of the ninja anime series, allowing them to step into a world inspired by the Hidden Leaf Village. The park features character displays, training activities, and interactive experiences that bring the anime to life. Nestled within Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island, the park provides a unique blend of Japanese anime culture with outdoor entertainment, set in a natural island environment.

Nijigen no Mori itself is a hub for attractions based on popular Japanese entertainment franchises. It offers visitors interactive and immersive experiences amidst the island’s natural beauty. The introduction of the direct bus service from Kyoto is anticipated to boost accessibility and appeal, making it easier for anime fans and tourists to enjoy a distinctive summer travel experience in Japan.
